About Tree Removal Lawton

Tree Removal Lawton handles residential and small-acreage tree work across Comanche County and the towns around it: removals, trimming and pruning, ice and storm cleanup, stump grinding, eastern redcedar removal and lot clearing. Land survey work, tree planting nurseries, and any cutting on or near energized power lines are outside what we take on. Line clearance belongs to the electric utility, and we will tell you when a job reaches that point.

Trees in Southwest Oklahoma take a beating from three directions. Summer heat runs near 97 degrees for the average July high, south winds blow hard much of the warm season, and every so often freezing rain coats every branch in town. Brittle species split, old oaks drop dead limbs, and redcedars move in wherever nobody mows. Our job is to deal with what that leaves behind in a way that is safe for your house, your fence and your power service.

How a job runs

  • Walk the property. We look at each tree you are worried about, the targets under it (roof, driveway, fence, lines) and the route a chipper or grinder would take.
  • Write it down. The estimate lists each tree or stump, what will be done to it and what happens to the wood and brush.
  • Check the lines. If limbs are tangled in a service drop or a utility line, that part goes to the power company first.
  • Work and clean up. Brush is chipped or hauled, the yard is raked and blown off, and you walk the job with us before we leave.

When the plan changes

If a cut reveals rot that makes a tree riskier to drop than expected, or a stump turns out to sit on a buried line, work stops and we talk before anything is added to the price.
